Home Work Tuesday 3/13 and Conference Week

1. BE SURE AND SIGN UP FOR A CONFERENCE AND SHOW UP FOR IT!
2. Review the assignment sheet and comments from workshop. 
3. Write a final draft of you Op-Ed. This should mean at least two revisions from the complete draft. Be sure to offer an argument with clear claims and evidence that best serves to convince your audience. Avoid any logical fallacies and offer up counter arguments that your audience might have washing about in their heads as they read your Op-Ed. Be sure to have a works cited and cite any evidence you give from another source. 
4. Come to conference with two copies of a draft that is as close to a final draft as you can make it. I'll read your draft quickly and offer revision ideas in conference. Be sure to have questions and a pen to take notes. 
5. Turn in your final draft with all added materials on Tuesday in class or email before class.
6. Post your final draft on the blog. Link back to it on a site that deals with the issue. This could be a newspaper article, blog, etc.  
7. Read the assignment sheet for the PAA. Once again, we'll work as a class to revise the guidelines for the assignment. Also, be thinking about what helps you the most in class and next Tuesday we'll sketch out a unit plan together.
