Does an absent father make teens more likely to become pregnant?
Yes. And the younger the girl is when her father leaves the picture the more likely she is to get pregnant.


What percentage of girls who’s fathers are absent have reported at least one pregnancy?
Of the girls who were followed 15% reported having at least on pregnancy between the ages of 14 and 17.

What is the most recent statistic of the number of pregnant teens per year?
About 7% of girl between the ages of 15-19 were pregnant in 2006.

How many teen girls got abortions in 2006?
About 2% of girls asked between the ages of 15 and 19 got abortions in 2006.

What percentage of girls between the ages of 15 and 19 had live births?
Of the 1000 girls asked about 4% had live births.

    Does the reason why the father left affect anything (army, died, abandoned)?

    Are the teen girls usually in loving relationships or not?
