Matt's Intro

What is this? Does someone want to actually look at this portfolio? That is good. Better than good, its superb. I feel proud of it. Looking back through the class these things that I have written and the way in I did said writing has made me proud. I feel like I have progressed a deal as a writer in this class. I am at the very least out of the humdrum attitude I took to writing in high school.

I realized that this could be a fun class where I could express my feelings and opinions more through my writing, however strong they may be and they would not be turned down. I actually got to use my own voice and imagination.

Writing needs to be an open forum. There needs to be discussion. There needs to be imagination. What started out as sustainability in this class has been spread so far. For my personal academic argument I wrote about something that I felt like I would never have wanted to write about. Why? I explored. Exploration is imagination.

I am glad I took this class when I did. Where I did. I feel like my transition from high school to college can be much more complete. Two years and two different schools and now I can finally say I am ready to write. I am ready to write for when it matters.
